Life Sciences Education Programs

June 6 and June 10, 2006

Students, teachers and science olympians will experience the world of life sciences June 6 and June 10 at the new New York State Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences facility. Specially scheduled tours of the facility will be combined with a firsthand look and feel of what it means to be involved in this high-tech area from the research end to the business side.

What kind of technology is involved? How does a new scientific discovery come about? How does it become a product or service that improves the health and well-being of people everyday? Who are the people that make all this happen? What kind of skills are required to be part of all this excitement? The Life Sciences Education Program will answer these questions and more.
