Speakers Bios

Anthony Johnson, MBA

Anthony Johnson is a partner in Buffalo Biosciences LLC, a new firm providing complete management services for life science firms. Mr. Johnson is also the interim CEO of Empire Genomics, LLC. Previously, he held the position of Business Area Manager for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine at Invitrogen Corp. His responsibilities in this capacity included connecting the diverse suite of Invitrogen Corp. technologies & products to provide complete stem cell solutions. In this position he also was responsible for building the Invitrogen stem cell platform through sponsoring global collaborative research initiatives, and product licensing. Prior to Invitrogen, Mr. Johnson worked as a strategic business consultant in the entertainment, and telecommunications industry. He has numerous years of experience working in the global sales and marketing function of the pharmaceutical industry, playing an integral role in designing the global competitor intelligence system for the CRESTOR product of AstraZeneca.

Anthony Johnson is a native of Washington D.C., holds a Bachelor’s degree from Fisk University in biology, Master’s level research experience in neuroscience at Harvard Medical School, and a MBA in International Strategy from Manchester Business School, Manchester England.
